Wine storage: Cellaring your wine

We have the perfected solution for wine storage. Cellar your fine wine investment with us to keep it protected and increasing in quality and value.

Wine storage temperature control

When cellaring wine, a constant temperature is the single most important factor. Store-it’s Fine Wine Cellars maintain a temperature of 14ºC (+-1.5ºC). Temperature fluctuations will affect the quality of your wine.
Too cold (under 12ºC) and your wine’s development will be inhibited.
Too warm (over 19ºC) will cause overly rapid development of your wine.

Ideal humidity for your wine storage

Store-it’s Fine Wine Cellars maintain an optimum humidity level of 70% (+-5%). This humidity percentage is designed to prevent problems such as the cork drying out and shrinking – causing wine to leak. It’s also low enough to prevent mould forming.

Wine storage lighting (or lack of it)

Exposure to ultraviolet light can be harmful to wine. No natural light enters Store-it’s Fine Wine Cellar. The only light it sees is when you’re in there checking on your wine’s development.

Wine movement & handling

Only you control the movement and handling of wine in, out and during storage. No one else has access to your wine.
Unnecessary movement, shaking or vibrations can affect a wine’s development – particularly if it disturbs the sediment.

Wine storage security

To ensure your wine is totally secure, Store-it’s Fine Wine Cellars utilise state-of-the-art security, including 24 hour monitoring and CCTV surveillance. Your private wine cellar is locked and alarmed.

Only Store-it Fine Wine Cellar customers can access the cellar and only you have the proximity card and key to your personal cellar. You have complete control over access to your personal collection.

7 Day access to your wine storage

You can access, deposit or retrieve your wine at times convenient to you 7 days a week, 5am – 10pm (or by special arrangement with Store-it management).

Convenient wine drop service

Have your fine wine delivered direct to us here at Store-it, we’ll advise you of its arrival and you’ll avoid the double handling and disturbing of your wine.
